Dr. Donald G. Hedges, B.SC., MD

Team Physician (10th Season at Simon Fraser)

The SFU Lacrosse medical staff includes one of BC’s most professionally decorated management staff members. Dr. Hedges is in medical practice in New Westminster and is licensed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia. Dr. Hedges earned his medical degree at UBC and completed his internship at the Ottawa Civic Hospital.

In addition to practicing medicine, he also lectures at Simon Fraser University (SFU) on topics related to sports injuries. On top of serving as Team Physician for the men's lacrosse team, Dr. Hedges is also the Faculty Advisor of the Lacrosse Club at SFU.

Dr. Hedges is a member of the Canadian Academy of Sport Medicine and has served over 25 years as team physician in lacrosse, soccer, football and rugby including for the Vancouver Whitecaps Soccer Club, the Vancouver Ravens and Washington Stealth of the National Lacrosse League and Rugby Canada.
